To open up your customer directly in your own backoffice software, you need to make sure that the following requirements are met.
- Your backoffice software support deeplinking
- You have a linking ID or email address of your customer stored in Zendesk.
You can use an external_id for this. In a system like Stripe an example Customer ID looks something like cus_12345678.
Example to open your own backoffice system from Zendesk
- Navigate to the Shortcuts app on the left
- Create a new Shortcut
- Give an appropriate name to the Shortcut
- Copy the link from your backoffice system in the the URL field of a Shortcut
- Now replace the unique ID/email address part with a Placeholder
- Save the Shortcut
- Navigate to a ticket and refresh
- Try out the Shortcut
- If the Shortcut works 💪
- If not, make sure the Placeholder is actually putting data in the URL. If that doesn't happen, either it's the wrong placeholder, or this particular Ticket doesn't have data a the placeholder.
